A drop in pay is worth it if you end up liking the new job a lot better. Call centres are very unhealty work environments anyway, you're better off getting away from there.

Glad to hear you're moving on to better things (phonemonkeying is unhealthy). Hope you find something that gives you genuine satisfaction. I've worked as a phonemonkey for 7 years now yet the most fullfilling job was working at a Quizno's (I love culinary).
