If you had to choose between doing the practical thing, staying put and going to school as planned and knowing it will pay off in the long run... Or taking a once-in-a-lifetime chance that may or may not be completely frivolous, but if it works, could land you everything you dreamed of... Which would you choose ( Read more... )

Seems to me if you have nothing to lose but everything to gain, you might as well try it out.

'Tis what I'm thinking as well...I have a feeling I'm just going to do it, I really do. There's really nothing to *lose*, just a bit of a change in plans...and I know I'll be kicking myself if I decide not to try. It's kinda a repeat of the NYC job interview situation last fall, in a way, LOL, except a more fun job. ;)

Oh, it definitely did help... I really think I need to locate that book! Yah, I think I will be going with my gut. The more I've been thinking about it today...the more I'm like, You know what, I'm just going to kick myself if I don't even try. I *definitely* feel like I'm being pulled in each direction though...what worries me most is that I'll go give this a shot, and come home empty-handed and regretting it major. But when it comes right down to it...I can't remember ever regretting trying to do something. I only remember regretting not trying. I *rarely* regret going with my gut.

I just e-mailed you, I think...LOL, I basically sent you a 'test' e-mail to make sure I remember your addy right! ;)

Oh I do, I really really do lol... It involves a film job, which is why it's like...terribly uncertain. But *everything* in the industry is, as you well know even from doing extra work. So it's like...really, it never gets better, so if I want to do this, I ought to take every opportunity that comes my way, because one day I just might hit the one that works. You know?

Shame you got cut from The Dark Knight by the way...I think I remember you saying which scene you were in, I was looking for you too but obviously couldn't find you...oh well! I kinda giggled though at seeing so many places that I've been to while wandering the streets pre-Lindsey shows. ;)

Think about this...Where would Stevie and Lindsey be right now had they stayed in school?

Very, very, very good point!!! And that's basically what it boils down to. In any aspect of the entertainment business, you kinda have to take what chance you get...if I don't even try, it's kinda like if, upon getting the call from Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey and Stevie had been like "Hm...well, yah, but we're already doing our own stuff, so we don't really need y'all." ;)
