My lovely otherwise-intelligent wife has a big thing for certain of the recent evil tidal wave of books in the vastly-profitable genre known as Young Adult. I expect the movie will probably be rather grim (that is, too Hollywood), but I'll be seeing it anyway with my 11-year-old and the houseguest of yours who turned her onto the book. (She's *just* started reading me the third book; she's already read it, of course ( ... )

Oh for God's sake, Curtis, don't be such a drama queen... If you don't want to read the book, don't. If you don't want to see the movie, don't. I'm not "insisting" on anything. I've suggested you might like it, but if you are viewing it as a chore, then seriously, don't bother.

You have asked me if I'm going to read the book or if I've started to read the book yet at least every other day for 3 weeks. That is a bit beyond suggesting I might like it. So just back off with the drama queen comments, missy.
