I was so honored to be selected as a NFTY Convention RA. I have so many friends who are just as qualified and yet, I was offered the job. I didn't know what Binghamton was going to be like, but I assumed that I could adjust my schedule so I could be at convention. It turns out I can't, and the second I knew I could not make it work I e-mailed NFTY

I'm really sorry, that sucks. However, I can't imagine that anyone who knows you or has worked with you would respond in such a manner. I'm sure you can chalk it up to stressed out, underpaid youth department staff trying to plan convention... you know how people can be short and testy when things are getting down to the wire.
