Rabbit! I logged on just to see if you were okay, because I hadn't heard from you in a while. Clearly, you've been busy thinking weighty thoughts.

Political discussion aside (because as you may know, I don't participate in politics of any kind), I just wanted to comment on the wording: all men were created equal.

What people tend to miss there is the word created. It doesn't say all men are equal. That is certainly an idea to aspire to in any society. But the point was not a political one, rather a religious one

you don't strike me as a a dyed in the wool conservative (but you also didn't strike me as a liberal either)
