My LJ posting is pretty sporadic, and really seems to have a different feel than working over at a blog place. Also, I can post photos SUPER easy.
I certainly plan to keep using the friends list and commenting, and perhaps flailing about stuff, but I am very much experimenting with a more consistent and public online forum, one that wasn't quite as forged in my undergrad.
I'm with you on the sporadic posting from and completely understand wanting a bit of a "reset" for your online persona. I will say that I have something of a phobia of commenting on real blogs, even if they are written by people I know, because it all seems to formal and arms distance, so please don't be upset if I don't comment much on your new blog, though I will be reading it.
No worries, I understand that blog commenting sometimes seems like something of a different fish. Now, keep in mind however that my blog will not be substantially different in post format than what you are familiar with. I do not intend to suddenly begin setting forth about issue X, this is still pretty personal for me.
