Lets seee...something you might want to hear...hummmm. Having trouble with that...reason for very little postings. Feeling mostly caught up in tupelo crazy family issues. Mom is hallucinating from the combination of drugs used to treat her pain and anxiety. No really, bugs from honduras need to be picked out of her skin for hours at a time.

Yes strange stuff is a known side effect of the drugs and means the doc needs to change the drug combos (ask me how I know). Someone needs to get on the phone with your mom's doc ASAP and report the side effects and the erratic behavior etc. Her drugs need to be changed/rebalanced NOW before she does damage to herself or others.

*hugs* I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through with your mom... that's hard for anyone to deal with. I remember how heart breaking it was after Nana had her stroke and the way it affected her memory... is adjusting the drugs to stop the hallucinations an option? I found that the pharmacist was much more knowledgeable than the doctor when it came to managing drug interactions. Is talking to your mom's pharmacist something that you're able to do?

ty...her normal doc sent her to a skin doc...he said she should see a shrink...she said no way. she's stubborn and acts 'normal' around anyone who is trying to see if she's crazy. already avoided being committed to therapy because she passed her interview and the psych couldn't admit her. I suggested sis video tape her shenanigans for proof.

good info...passed it along to the middle sis who is being proactive about doing research on her own and giving dad some back up. she is not a fibro patient tho. discs in neck and back are damaged. claim is from wrestling with students a long time ago and started taking oxcy,fentanal suckers,and other pain killers until lil sis started abusing them. she had to quit cold turkey on those bc sis stole them and she wondered why. dad discovered they were a schedule one and didn't like mom taking them. Now they are using cymbalta, lyrica, ultram,lunesta and her bp meds.
