being a parent

last night i had my scare for the week. my oldest was at his boy scout leaders house. all was fine til i got a call from him in tears telling me that he was just stung by a scorpion. i felt sick to my stomach not knowing what was going on and if he was going to be okay. fortunately one of his leaders is a doctor and he explained what was going on ( Read more... )

Wow, I bet that hurt. I got stung once and it hurt like a bitch. Glad he is okay. Good thing he had his "understanding" mom there for him. Good luck with the mormons! LOL!

Yep.
I worry plenty over my kids, even if they're just in the next room.
But, I guess that comes with the territory of being a parent.

As for the words, that is pretty funny.
My kids already swear like little, tiny sailors. It's pretty damned adorable... :)
On the plus side, learning young means they know how to use their language appropriately. My four year old was recently helping to take apart a fan and he matter-of-factly stated that the last screw was going to be a bitch. When his sister commented on it, he basically said "Duh, it's okay, we're at home."
