I'm much more likely to play with photos than with words, but the tw100 challange seemed like a good, well... challange, to take a chance and try something new. Enjoy, I hope... (I'd love feedback, pro or con) ( Drabbles )
Very nice, especially #2. :) And yes on the rebuttal - Jack does what is needed, and if it isn't nice, and isn't fluffy... well, neither is life. It's great having someone to be the conscience, but it's just as important to know when to ignore that conscience for the greater good. :)
Thanks. Means a lot coming from you. And yeah, number 2... When I first saw the 1999 segment in Fragments, I flashed back to POTW. He obviously cared about these people, and you could see the same devastation. I love your pre-2000 Torchwood stories - you bring that whole era alive.
Aww, thank you. :) And yes, they quite deliberately played on the abandonment scene in PotW in that bit in Fragments - Jack has that same look of devastation and it clearly hits him just as hard. Harder, if anything - he's had a whole century to settle in and make himself comfortable there. Alex, in his way, thought he was doing the right thing, but he hit all of poor Jack's buttons there, leaving him stranded alone with the dead once more....
Thank you. The Small Worlds one was the only one I wrote for this challenge - the others have been (mostly) sitting on my computer for awhile. The bunny hit when I was looking at tags for the Sleeper one, and thinking about why I wrote it.
Yeah, I loved that segment. If, by any chance, you haven't discovered aeshna_uk's stories about the pre-2000 TW era, go run over there now. They're wonderful...
