At it again: my attempt(s) to explain Drew's English lyrics to non-natives of the language!
Operation: Drewing Around
Installment Thirteen: Black Cathedral
13; a fitting number for this song.
The song... This is the first track on Drew Sarich's new "Silent Symphony" CD. There's an old understanding that the first and last songs of a CD should

And man, I love The Nowhere, soooo. It's possibly my favorite. Though that's been changing daily.

I jokingly refer to The Nowhere as "The Pirate Song". There's no sound quite like a carful of Drew aficionados together when that song comes up on the CD. All other conversations immediately get dropped for the thrill of joining in.

- possibly my favourite line and stuck in my head quite often. Black Cathedral is one of the best songs on Silent Symphony (actually, my #2).

I have only some minor questions / remarks.
This slick seasoned pro's
gone and blown out your sunlight
Do we know what the "slick seasoned pro" is? Is it him before he reveals to her who he really is (a vampire)?
Would make sense because through biting her he "blows out her sunlight" because it will never again be possible for her to see it.
That she has to learn to love them, means she doesn't love them now.

I think of the "Black Cathedral" as symbolic of their whole relationship. There is love involved, or at least, desire and attraction, so it is beautiful and appealing. But it is also cold and chilling, because there is damnation and endless hunger and insatiable need.
As for "strained to regain all this cost"... I think of it like this. She has come to this point and is about to pay the ultimate price, to cross the point of no return. There is nothing she can do to go back to the way she (they) were before, and her previous innocent understanding. But, now that she's here, she should try with all her might to squeeze every ( ... )
