Kind of an interesting story behind the whole neurotoxin thing in WWII. The Germans actually had the first weaponized neurotoxin, "Tabun" well before the war, and in fairly decent quantity. Hitler's generals persuaded him that using it would be a really bad idea, because the allies most likely had something similar (we didn't, thank GOD that they didn't know) and would use it right back.

Fortunately, he was rational enough to listen to them.
