On Friday, Owen started going from squinched over sitting to actually trying to straighten his back. He also started picking up one hand at a time to grab at stuff. I finally got the blinds up in Owen's room early this week, and so we decided to try putting him in his crib in his own room. I know it's time and all, and even though he's my third, it's still hard to let go. So Owen was 16 pounds, 26.25 inches, head circ 43 cm. They said his weight was 75th percentile, and his height was 50-75th. My chart matches theirs for weight, but says he's more like 90th for height. Either way, he's a chunky monkey.

Poor kid got three shots again. He was grinning like a loon right up until they stuck him.

My baby is getting so big! Tomorrow, we go for his 4 month appointment, and I'm not expecting him to have dropped any percentiles. He's actually 4 months plus a week or so, but we were in Maryland, so whatcha gonna do? He's already working his way into 6-9 month clothes, starting with pj's, of course. Argh! My laptop fan seems to come on at jet engine levels when the thing gets hot, but then never cools off. At least, that's how it started. Now it seems like I open too many programs and it takes off. Also, it gets hot when you do silly things like close the screen ( Read more... )

Another car seat question. Is the MA still my best bet for a primary convertible, or has something topped Britax? Also, are any of the "new" Britax models better?
