Someone was hit by a car and killed outside of my dorm this afternoon. Seeing the almost immediate aftermath of this was pretty harrowing. Lots of blood, busted-up windshield, driver's side door still open, the driver sitting against a tree crying with folks trying to comfort him. It's shaken me up a bit. Life is fragile.
