I just listened to "You Made Me Realise" by My Bloody Valentine 90+ times in a row, over seven straight hours. What an amazing song.

Also, even though my classes might kind of suck, studying phonology this weekend has made me feel like I'm finally learning what I wanted to go to college for. And that's kinda nice.

I occasionally get the song "Your Mother Should Know" stuck in my head for weeks at a time.

I wonder if my roommate can hear my music when I wear headphones. If he can, he probably either thinks I'm a bad person or insane. Maybe both.

I dropped off my album at the record store today. Who knows what that means. There's a new tape label in town that I've had my eye on, and I would say I'm not banking on them releasing it, but I kind of am. That would be so awesome. It's straight-up 50 DEGREES warmer than it was last Thursday. That blew my mind when I realized that. It feels pretty nice outside, and it's only like 30.

I have been listening to Blacklisted by Neko Case over and over and over for the past two days. How the fuck have I not already gotten obsessed with this album? I have a total thing for Neko Case.

• I suddenly really want to read Harry Potter in Esperanto. Apparently the translation of the first book is done, but no one wants to publish it. Hmm.
• Even after several years of French (and now starting Portuguese), I can never come up with a good, uniform way to write the letter Ç.
• Happy St. Agnes Day, everyone. Hope it's good.

I don't know why this whole procedure has been so emotional for me, but it has been. It's finally true. And now, George W. Bush is FINALLY not our president anymore. It's such a huge relief. I've been skeptical here and there about how much "change" will really take place, but... god damn, that was some speech. I have faith.
