Fangirl past vs Fangirl Present
1. I went over to Tracey's last night for a couple drinks and some laid back fun, we intended to watch Halloween eps of Buffy but instead got caught up in The Soup (which was particularly biting, thus extra amusing) and reality show searching for the next Elvira, which I believe Courtney was thinking about trying out for at one point. All I'm gonna say is, be happy you missed out on that one. WTF.
2. On the way to her house, I got a damn speeding ticket. My first time being pulled over :( I don't know what this means, is my insurance going to go up dramatically? She clocked me at 60 in a 45, but she wrote the ticket as 54 in a 45.
3. So uh.... tomorrow I will see New Kids on the Block. I honestly don't know how I feel about this. It's the 3rd time I've seen them, the last time was 20 years ago when I proudly wore different colored neon socks and a denim jacket covered in buttons with their faces on it and flaunted my 3rd row tickets, becoming one of the 2nd grade elite. This is like revisiting a fun yet highly embarrassing part of my past. Clearly I didn't learn anything, because...
4. My tendency to find sometimes scruffy British celebrities with self-deprecating senses of humor attractive has shifted* from Dominic Monaghan to Robert Pattinson. Yeah, yeah... he's young & ridiculously popular now amongst screaming and crying pre-teen and teen girls and thus any future fandom/fangirling of him will result in a NKOTB level of shame. But damn.
