How do you get that sort of blur effect around Anakin's sleeve? It looks fantastic. :)

And I was trying to lighten the background of the cap, so I added a new layer, painted white over the smokey background, gaussian blurred it (with a radius of 5 I believe) and set it to soft light. I may have messed with the opacity, but I can't remember. It lightened that area of the cap and had the added bonus of the blur effect around the edges of where I painted. :)
