In fact, I thought of that. I called some places, and they're ridiculously expensive. Besides that, I'd have to buy new locks and have them installed, which racks up the cost.
That puts a huge dent in my money situation. I only have so much until the next business trip.
And what do I do when my parents come back and can't get in? Usually they leave right away and they'll need in at THAT moment. It's cheaper to bust in the window...
Back in Osaka, one time I was locked out of the house. One of our windows never really shut properly, so I had to push it open by sliding my ruler in through the crack. From there I pushed it open, climbed in and let myself in.
Looked to me like most of 'em were closed and locked. The only ones I might get to that might not be locked are on the second floor and I don't think I can get up there. My neighbors all kinda hate me for being loud...
How much is a small fee? The mom's crazy about security and making sure I don't die from external forces. ... Then again, she lets me in the kitchen...
The only person they would have is the dumb old lady down the street. She's too old and senile to even move anymore so even if they DID leave her a key--which I hope they would just tell me--she'll have forgotten where it was.

Are all the windows barred? Do they have locks?

Your parents didn't leave a spare key with one of your neighbors or someone else? Hmmm.
