I believe the leveling is fast until about 20 or 25 (can't remember exactly), then it takes some time until you hit about 50, and 60's the highest you can go. But don't worry, the majority of the game opens up to you once you've hit the 60 mark (that's what I've heard anyway).

My husband has a number of characters, along with two (Human Warlock and Night Elf Druid) I once played but then stopped cuz I wanted the ability to create parties with his char's. I did make myself another one yesterday - Human Warrior, more because I wanted to play again than wait. Trying to learn how to play her. :)

I've never actually played FFXI. I'm not much for MMOG's. WoW was the exception to the rule because both Erik and I wanted to try it. :)

OMG like, you got wow and stuff... holy shit man, like NO WAY! omg im totally excited and all. =P im glad you're having fun, im sorry i have not had a lot of time lately with being on line. its kinda a bad time, with wedding plans and invitations and all that jazz. i'll have more time when all that shit is settled. and if you have any trouble, the people in the guild, and chat channel are really kewl. just ask, anything at all. i'll help more when i can see you on monday and help you set things up on your computer and point them out. (bit easier to explain in person than in type) =P until then, have fun, and dont let the goblins take your candle. OH, and it doesnt hurt to try out the other classes... you can have 10 per server, so putz around and see if theres something else you might like better. the humans have different starting quests, and dwarves and gnomes share starting quests, some of them might be easier depending on your play style.

Hey don't worry about it. I understand. You've been a BIG help when you have been around. I think once I get her to level 20 I might try something else like maybe a dwarf priest or something. I definitely want to try a Blood Elf when the expansion comes out. ^^
