Now there's a monologue I'd be interested to read. I've never met a guy who could write so much and say so little- it's all between the lines with him.
Saga of Illuin's his novel series, or was, anyway, and the Chronicles of Dreathaven are a small part of it. I think there were several books planned, but I've only read most, or maybe all, of one of them. It's a fantasy novel that was actually a pretty decent start for a high schooler, sort of a mix of fantasy genres, really, but with a little more practice and vision it could've been better than The Dark is Rising.
well that definatly shows how much I meant to him. I didnt know anything about this novel. I knew that he was a good writer but he never really showed me any of his work, even though I always told him I would love to read anything he has written.
Well, two things on that, the novel was his entry for the arts week, so that was the basis of our knowing each other. I'd have to drag the letters out, but I think I got it originally because he figured I already knew about it from there and he wanted an editor/sounding board. (All my writer friends do this to me, come to think of it.) He was still considering an English major back then, and this was his project. It may be he outgrew it. I have plenty of abandoned pieces from back then myself (I suspect he may even have some if he hasn't ritually burned all that stuff
( ... )
you should because he wont talk to me. He's too busy in florida with his new girlfriend. Anyway I dont know how he expects people to get close to him when he wont let them. He graduated an english major but I dont think he really wanted to write much. Since I've known him he's "Never had time for it" or at least he wouldnt make time for it.
