(no subject)
I just got back from fun-filled antics, and I apologize for not posting sooner - I keep thinking I'll have time and then something comes up without fail. Full Body-ish stuff today!
01. Voices of a Distant Past?
I have been largely, grievously unsatisfied with most everything I spend time on - this is one of those cases. Rhi is a queen, and I went mad over an idea of her doing the gritty-militant version of a princess reclaiming her throne and ascending to the role of queen... I'd meant to have her be striking, but authoritative here, I think she kinda ended up prissy, grumpy, and awkward. LEGS!! *angryfist*
02. Ruffled
Ionaye, droopy ever-depressed rabbit-ish girl. I don't know... it's been a while since I drew it, but I'm still rather fond of it. One of those pieces where, again, I draw a pose to convey something I'm feeling, and it goes fairly well. 'Specially considering it was around 4am when I drew it, if I recall correctly.
03. Doboodlish
I get this one and another one later on confused easily - one I drew while nearly asleep, and the other I quickly drew while waiting for dinner somewhere. I'm pretty sure this one was the sleepy one. I generally feel pretty depressed yet somewhat painfully hopeful before going to sleep, so a good deal of stuff I draw before bed tends to be sad/listless people looking into the distance from one angle or another. super close-up of the head!
04. Yeah, probably.
Venting real life frustrations by putting them into a story, as per usual. Sam doesn't really know Underoo, but he can't really see any other reason why someone would cling so incessantly. My style's becoming kinda... not what I want it to do, and yet, I really like it. close-up of the faces again
05. Aha, the culminating point.
This is the other one I referred to - I'm pretty sure this was the one drawn while waiting for dinner. I actually rather like it, besides the fact that my style seems to be turning into fuckin' Escaflowne. yes, another close-up.
06. Explodinator
Rhi again - her face seemed to look a lot better on paper. This is kind of a cartoony anime Rhi - she's normally an obsessive, confused straight-shooter with no sense of humor. And a lot more obviously irish. I long for the day when I can fully express her.
07. Daquiri Sastah?
Yeah... yeah, I don't know. I was possibly a bit tipsy off of a sip of some blue thing and being surrounded by geeky peers, which rarely happens.
08. Flung the Poo of Meaningsation
Rhi-Mai-Na - trying to imitate fairly old-age Ian J. without reference, it came out sssoooo shitty... the eye comment is a jab at myself, not Ian. Also, I will definitely be retooling mai's design so that she doesn't look like a ripoff of half of the anime/anime-based female/girly male characters ever invented.
That's it! Tomorrow... probably the other fairly detailed crap I have lying in my phot-buck.
