Title: Blank Canvas
Rating: PJ
Characters: Ritsuka/Soubi
Summary: He's like a canvas covered in dark scars and mystery, but I can't deny the fact that all I wish is to take a new brush, dip it in new paint, and make him utterly beautiful.

I really like how you managed to create a sense of a strong and shared connection between Soubi and Ritsuka despite them barely interacting or even talking to each other as they still remain connected by their common memories and a wordless understanding. The canvas metaphor stands out too because it's a very welcome break from butterflies as a metaphor for Soubi and because this poignant imagery is skillfully weaved in the progression of the story. The line that goes "All I want to do it make him beautiful again. He had to have been once, right? I couldn't imagine him always like this. No one is.", particularly resonated with me because it touched on something of fundamental to the nature of the characters and to this ambiance so particular to the world of Loveless, the delicate interplay between hope and want.
