Loveless at the New York Times Best Sellers Manga list

Sep 22, 2012 18:20

Loveless 09 released by VIZ Media ranked 4th on The New York Times Best Sellers list.

It placed better than One Piece and Bleach (Rankings reflect sales for the week ending September 15,2012)

I believe it's great news, right? What do you guys think?

That's really exciting! I'd been thinking (with no real proof, I'm just horribly pessimistic) that the English-speaking Loveless fandom had kind of died when Tokyopop went under, but that's obviously completely untrue.

Let's keep it up and show Viz how much we appreciate their picking up the series. \♥w♥/

Wow, that's really cool. ^^ Hopefully this shows Viz that Loveless is worth it and they'll pick up more series, like Silver Diamond.

That's impressive. I'm amazed that Loveless placed ahead of One Piece and Bleach.

I tend to think of the Loveless fandom (on LJ, DW, Deviantart, Tumblr, etc.) as kind of cozy - I haven't met everyone yet, but there are a lot of familiar faces here ... and people I recognize, even if we haven't talked. It's a lot less obscure than I would have expected, given the subject material, but it doesn't register as "big" in my mind. Certainly not in the way the top-grossing Big Three do. I'm really glad to know that so many people are reading along with us!

It's extra cool because I pre-ordered Vol 9. With no intention of standing up and being counted, but yay! XD;
