http://community.livejournal.com/raburesu_rating/101155.html Name: Jacey.
Age: Twenty-one.
Likes: Words (both reading and writing them), learning new things/researching various subjects that catch my attention, good conversation, astrology, cats!, animals in general, caffeine, challenges, physical affection/glomping (I have an irrepressible urge to hug everything, and I get depressed if I go too long without being touched XD), inside jokes, nicknames, people who smile incessantly, facades, autumn, and air/wind.
Dislikes: Being alone, being straightforward, intolerance of any sort (be it homophobia, racism, religious intolerance, whatever), anyone or anything hurting the people I love, animal abuse, people who try and force me to split my loyalties/choose one loyalty over another, willful ignorance, bad grammar.
Hobbies: Writing, writing, writing (did I mention writing? :D), reading, astrology, researching things, playing with my kitties, being active in my various fandoms.
Would You Rather...
Be single, or in a serious relationship? As long as I’m not alone and have someone to look after, I’m good.
Be a fighter or a sacrifice? Fighter, hands down. I’m very good with taking pain, so in that sense at least I’d make a good Sacrifice, but Fighter still wins out. I’m infinitely better at taking orders than I am at giving them, and I’m also much better at protecting than I am with being protected. Not to mention, my greatest love in life is words, so the idea of spells appeals quite a lot to me.
Be street-smart or intellectual? Intellectual. I love books and researching far too much to say anything else. XD
Live alone, or with a room mate? Depends on the roommate, I suppose. But assuming the roommate is someone whose company I enjoy, I’d much rather not be alone.
Live a short, exciting life, or a long, quiet life? Short and exciting. I don’t see much point in living a long life if you have no interesting stories to tell at the end of it.
A little-known fact about you: I am not half as self-reliant as I act.
Who do you look up to as a model for how to live your life? The sort of people who’ve learned to take pain and turn it into strength.
What do people appreciate most about you? I’m perceptive and good at seeing through people and understanding them, and I’ve been told that I’m good with words/generally know what to say to make someone feel better. I’m also at least fairly intelligent and creative, and can carry on good conversation.
Three positive words to describe yourself: Perceptive, creative, intelligent.
Three negative words to describe yourself: Secretive, indecisive, detached.
What quality do you value most in others? Intelligence and emotional strength.
The world's not a perfect place. What would you want to change about it? Less child and animal abuse. There’s very very little that can actually get me angry, but hell if that doesn’t.
You're not perfect, either. What would you change about yourself? …a lot? XD Being more decisive and less panicky would certainly be welcome, as well as actually learning to open up to people for once. And I’m about the most non-confrontational, submissive person ever, which can lead to me being a bit of a doormat. Sigh.
Do you believe in people? Certain people, yes. Everyone in general? No. That’s overtly-optimistic and impractical.
In yourself? In specific aspects of myself, perhaps.
If you were given the chance to become one of the characters for a short period of time, who would you choose? As much as I would love to get inside Seimei’s head and see how he turned out like that, I’m quite certain I could not function in that role at all. So, Soubi or Kouya.
If you had the chance to become a part of the Loveless-verse (as yourself) for the rest of your life, would you take it? Assuming I would find my Sacrifice and be part of a Fighter Unit, in a heartbeat. I’d give up just about anything to have that sort of connection with someone, to belong like that.
Who is your favorite character? Kio - he’s so perceptive and accepting and perpetually cheerful, and those are all qualities I value highly. I’d love to have a friend like that. XD
Your least favorite? Probably Ritsu. Granted, Seimei is a bastard as well, but at least he’s a far more interesting bastard. (And too, I agree a lot with Seimei’s ideas on control, except I’d much prefer to be controlled myself. >.>) So, Ritsu it is…though Nagisa would probably drive me insane irl.
Show us 1-2 pictures of yourself! (No cosplay pictures, please) If you don't have a picture, give a brief description of yourself. Very tiny (extremely short and thin) with a mass of wavy dark brown hair that’s about to the small of my back, brown eyes, occasionally glasses, and almost always with a book in hand. The chibi librarian look, I suppose. :P
Note: This is not a mirror rating, however, seeing what your aesthetic is does tell us more about your personality!
OPTIONAL BONUS QUESTION*
Defying all expectation, a group of Scottish marine biologists capture a live Loch Ness Monster. In an almost unbelievable coincidence, a bear hunter in the Pacific Northwest shoots a Sasquatch in the thigh, thereby allowing zoologists to take the furry monster into captivity. These events happen on the same afternoon. That evening, the president announces that he may have thyroid cancer, and will undergo a biopsy later that week. You are the front-page editor of the New York Times: What do you play as the biggest story?
Seeing as I could not care any less about politics and cryptozoology fascinates me, I would definitely want to run either the Nessie or Sasquatch story. Practicality would likely win out in the end, though - more people would probably want to read about the President, so I’d likely end up running that one regardless of my own feelings on the matter.
