Summary: Usually he was the one drunk and Koki the one who took care of him. This time their roles were reversed.
A/N: Unbetaed. Just something that came to my mind yesterday and wanted to be written down.
Kame had to admit he had always suspected it. Despite the rumors and all his big talk Koki just fitted the image of the ideal gay dreamboat - well-built body and cute face. Add a few questionable actions and remarks, and Kame had made his guess.
But never had he imagined to find out the truth like this.
Usually he was the one drunk and Koki the one who took care of him. This time their roles were reversed. Thanks to a chain of incidents he had been called to pick up a dead drunk Koki and bring him home.
Dragging him to the taxi Kame had simply laughed off Koki's Your place or mine?, because, well, Koki was drunk after all. But when they got off and he put the rapper's arm around his shoulder to steady him, their faces were suddenly very close and the intense look in Koki's eyes when their eyes met send a shiver down his spine.
"You're beautiful, Kazu!" Koki blurted out.
Kame felt himself blushing. "Come on, you need to get some sleep." he mumbled and hurried them up the stairs.
Once inside Koki's apartment he managed to take of both their shoes and shoo the dogs back to their bed so he could take Koki to his. He put him down as gentle as possible and attempted to tuck him under the covers, but was stopped when Koki suddenly gripped his wrist. He looked at his bandmate looking back at him with an unreadable expression in his half closed eyes.
"Sleep with me!"
Kame's breath hitched and his heart started to speed up, though he was sure he had to have misheard what Koki just said. But before he could even think about how he should react, Koki had dragged him down on the bed and put his arms around him.
"Sleep with me!" he repeated, more like a whisper this time, but nevertheless clear to understand. He sounded a lot less drunk than he should, and a lot more serious, too.
This wasn't helping Kame in any way. He tried to free himself just when Koki pulled him closer and sighed contently, muttering a quiet "I love you!"
Kame's heart stopped. Had he heard correctly? Surely his mind was playing tricks on him, wasn't it? It couldn't be, could it? That his hopes were finally fulfilled? His head was spinning to find a way to react to the things he might or might not have heard just now, but the soft snoring that followed told him he had time to answer.
He looked at Koki's happy expression, thinking about the way he had been treated by him. Like a very close friend. Like a girl at times. Like someone more than important. Always a bit different than the others.
Maybe he did hear those words. Words he had longed for since a long time ago. A smile crept on his face and he cuddled closer to the other man, breathing in the familiar scent of cigarettes and musk-scented aftershave mingling with the alcohol from earlier. A scent he was sure would become an important part of his life from now on.
Kame had always suspected it. But he hadn't been sure. So he had kept his feelings buried deep inside, not taking the risk to chase Koki away and lose his friendship. But now he knew the truth. And he couldn't be happier.
