“You're not going to come back, are you?” Shintaro asked quietly.
Juri paused putting on his jacket. He stayed silent for a moment, the loud ticking of the clock filling the silence counting down their last seconds together.
“No,” Juri finally answers, “You know I can't.”
He doesn't dare to look back when he leaves. He doesn't want to see the tears on Shintaro's face.
It's bad enough he hears the wailing until he's halfway down the road.

Hokuto gulped when he stared up at a smirking Jesse.
As soon as the fashion show had been over, the new and upcoming supermodel had grabbed Hokuto by his collar and dragged him into the dressing room where he held Hokuto now pinned against the wall.
The evil glint in Jesse's eyes told Hokuto he was in trouble. He should have believed the former assistant's warning when he took over the job. That Jesse was only playing Mr Nice Guy and was a whole different person behind that mask.
But when those full lips pressed against his, immediately followed by a tongue licking its way into his mouth and a thigh pressing between his legs, Hokuto found he didn't care.

Taiga was like a flower, Juri decided. Beautiful, but bound to stay where it was - and die way too soon.
“Look, it's clear enough to see the sea!” Taiga exclaimed excitedly and moved his wheelchair closer to the balustrade framing the hospital rooftop.
Juri smiled and stood next to him. “When you're better I'll take you there,” he promised.
When Taiga looked up at him with bright eyes, Juri's heart clenched. He knew it was impossible. But if you rip out a flower you can take it anywhere, and if you put it in water it won't die. Maybe, Juri thought, Taiga just needs to be freed from his roots.

“You're sure this is going to work?” Yugo asked sceptically.
Jesse looked at him like he was the dumbest person on Earth. “I built it. Of course it's going to work!”
Yugo's gaze wandered across the makeshift glider. Here and there parts didn't fit together, some important parts were held together by alarmingly few screws, and all in all it looked like it would fall apart the second it was hit by the most gentle gentle breeze.
“Okay,” he said. “When are we going to take off?”

The small aircraft barely missed the protruding rocks to their left, continuing its unsteady flight.
“Watch out!” Taiga screamed in panic.
“Relax! I know what I'm doing!” Shintaro replied with a grin, almost colliding with another rock formation.

“How did they find out where our hide-out is?” Hokuto asked once his breathing had calmed down enough and they could be sure they had taken down all their attackers. His eyes scanned their surroundings. Eleven dead bodies, but luckily all six members of their little special force unit were still standing. Shintaro was holding his gut and blood was seeping through his fingers, but he didn't so much as falter. Taiga was holding his left arm which seemed to be oddly twisted in itself pressed against his body. The others only had scratches and bruises, much like Hokuto himself.
“We got a problem,” Kouchi suddenly announced as he searched through their attackers' pockets. He held up a card that all of them knew very well. “They were sent by HQ. Seems they want to get rid of us.”

“No one wants to know how many women you had over the weekend!” Shintaro snapped before he briskly walked out of the room, leaving behind five perplex Juniors.
“...UST?” Taiga guessed.
“Maybe you should bang Shin next time!” Hokuto suggested.
“Don't be ridiculous!” Juri laughed along. Although that thought actually was appealing...

He knew he shouldn't spend his money on something like this. He shouldn't waste his hard earned savings intended to pay his university fees on a robot.
But Hokuto just couldn't resist.
Not that he needed a robot. Not that these robots were actually useful. But it was so pretty.
He unpacked it carefully and marveled at how perfect it looked. Human-like, but more beautiful. More ethereal.
He switched it on and it slowly opened his eyes. Deep purple.
“Hello, Taiga,” Hokuto murmered and pressed his lips against the robot's.

“I'll hold you if you jump.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
Shintaro hesitated a moment, then jumped.
