The getting dark early part is the worst in my opinion. I hate picking Eliot up from daycare when it's dark, it makes so sad for him.

To me, the darkness isn't so bad, even up here. Solstice always hits me unexpectedly, and from then on, at least we're picking up sunlight.

LIKE.

Seriously, I don't think the person who wrote that question defines "winter" the way we do.

Maybe it was a bear. They're like, "My favourite part of winter is hibernating!" Must be nice, bears.

Or some dumbass down south who thinks that winter = the time when you get out your jeans and cute boots.

I'd like winter if I was a bear. I would like to hibernate.

I'm reading the other answers now and they're saying things like, "No mosquitoes or wasps," and "No over 100 degree weather." One person was like, "What is winter?" and another was like, "Winter in Texas sucks!" Is this one of those scenarios where the term "Bless their hearts" is appropriate?

I'm already counting the days until spring.
