Nothing new, just more visuals:
...it's still hard to watch this without feelings of disbelief. Still, this idea that "the general public is more comfortable with a white dude playing an asian dude" just makes me feel.. well, uncomfortable. I know I would never see this movie otherwise, but even if I did, I would be completely distracted by a white actor portraying a character named Kyo Ka... Ka... "Kasanagi"?! Wha...? It's "Kusanagi" guys. Anyways... Maybe I'm just not as familiar with
The King of Fighters as I should be. Is there an explanation for this? Is he really not Japanese? Did he just really want a super-cool pen name? Was he
adopted by a rich Japanese couple in the 1970s? Even still, as a white-guy myself, this is a lot of disbelief for me to suspend.

Oh.. I get it, there's too many asians in the movie already...? ...wasn't "diverse" enough?
If anything, this gives me hope; hope that someday, I too, can play a Japanese man in the movies.
