Racebending in 'Big Miracle'?

Perpetual lurker, first-time poster, delurking for hopes for more info on the new film 'Big Miracle'. Saw a commercial for it earlier today, and as 'based on a true story' always sends my alarms ringing, I wiki'd it. I know the film made a very strong, good faith effort to cast real Inuit actors in roles and that they are in the movie. However, I'm not sure how big those roles are or if they are considered main characters. I would love to know who plays the kid.

It's a lot more impressive than the crappy effort The Last Airbender made when filming in Greenland.
