Lol, that clearly shows that they don't reference the source material at all. That's honestly the reason why the writing in so many adaptions is sub-par.

Bet Kubo Tite is going to be pissed. He's stated multiple times that he didn't want to see Bleach become live-action. He wrote it to be a manga and animation because those are his favorite type of mediums.

Kind of makes us wonder how Warner Bros. acquired the rights to it though, if that was the case. Recently, there was a creation of a company that was going to sell certain anime and manga titles to overseas movie companies (in this case, more focused on Hollywood) to make live-action movies out of. I think this might have been the result of one...

I know he has a twitter account, so I'm pretty curious about his reaction and thoughts on this.

I have to wonder if it's legitimate- ANN said the news come from an individual.

It's something that he might have changed his mind about. He's been VERY involved in the other movies, and if he's given a lager role to play in the production (writing, producing, casting, etc.) then he might be okay with it.

Heh, he's even been sketchy about the rock musicals. Polite, but it's something you can tell he's thinking "OMG Why?".
