Where does the time go?

Jun 10, 2009 14:16

I've reconnected with some folks from high school on FB...and I've been reading all of these "my son/daughter is graduating high school!"  What???  How can that be?  Didn't we just graduate ourselves??? and honestly, I can't believe next year, in 2010, I'll have been out of high school for 25 years.  o.0

I'm officially old.  : /

I totally had this conversation with a guy at work today [he was talking just like you]!

Do you have any kids?

No, no kids...and I think that is part of the issue. The hubby and I will have to do surrogacy or adoption, and the cost is just ridiculous, so I've been feeling really down about that lately. Plus it seems like all of our friends are popping out babies left and right.

My ex decided to change his mind about the kid situation AFTER we were married and I had to have a partial hysto and had brought up surrogacy/adoption. That was 9 years ago.

I'm not getting any younger (see conversation above!) and it's just wearing on me as of late...

Ugh.

You're not old! ;o) My mom's 50th high school reuinion is coming up soon. Now that's old! LOL!

All kidding aside, a very smart chickie, whom I love to pieces, always says age is just a state of mind. ;o)

:p I know, I know...it just wears on me occasionally, you know?

I see time slipping by so quickly and I feel like I'm moving in slow motion trying to achieve my goals...

I think we all feel that way sometimes. But as I just told myself the other day, I need to look at what I HAVE accomplished, rather than what I haven't. ;o)
