The DW exhibit was pretty good. It wasn't the most awesome thing evah and it wasn't all that big but it was worth the 5 pounds to get in. Note: buy your ticket at the door, the tickets prices were way more expensive online.
2009 isn't as far away as it seems. It'll be here in no time and then you can see all the awesome things and more :)
I seem to have developed crappy travel karma my last couple of trips and I'm not sure why. But whatever it is I'm really, really, really sorry!
The flight was about 7.5 hours on the way there and little over 8 on the way back. The train ride from Paddington to Cardiff was about 3 hours.
Yay! :) I'm glad you had a blast, even if the traveling was less than could be desired. :) You used quite a bit of British word choice in your write up too! ;)
:) Hopefully I'll have better traveling Karma on my way to see you in 3 weeks! I don't even think I notice that I include British word choices in my speech anymore. I've had that pointed out to me before - I blame it on the amount of British tv I watch.
Okay. CAB. CAAAAAAAAAAB. Once you were downtown, you should totes have taken a cab. I have seen The Big Suitcase, and my shoulders are ACHING thinking about hauling that thing up and down and up and down and up again. Holy hell, I'd have shot someone.
YAY! Random british money has come in handy! Huzzah! Never say I never did nothin' for ya. I'll expect my thank you card from your bladder any day now. ;p
How was the DW exhibit? Were there hot Welsh/British boys? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...tea. Now I'm craving raspberry scones. Like, a lot.
Flooding, sweetie, FLOODING. Water, water everywhere. Especially on the expressways up near O'Hare. Traffic was at a standstill so cab, outside of being expensive, wasn't going to get me anywhere except stuck in a traffic jam.
My bladder thanks you greatly but is not sending you a thank you card.
The DW exhibit was small but interesting. Since I didn't watch Old School Who I liked the bits about the older parts of the series.
