Why do you take so long???

Here is a picture of one of the bags I've been working on.  It's intended to be a reusable shopping tote - the big kind you can take into Target or WalMart.

I've determined that for my time and money, I really should have just bought LL Bean Boat & Totes and had them monogrammed.  That would've taken me about 10 minutes online as opposed to 6 hours ( Read more... )

Thanks :-D I usually only try to do the unique stuff that you can't just "buy," but I really am trying to move into using reusable shopping bags for 90% of the time (we still need a few plastic bags for kitty box cleanup and trash can liners!) and I know when I HAVE ones that are the right size, it makes all the difference!

And it is VERY frustrating...but Ben did point out that I wasn't really doing it to save money, I was doing it to make it personal and special. And so we have that, right? :-D

Even before I read the part about it being Edamame, I thought that was a really cool, funky pillow. Of course, knowing what it's supposed to be makes it even more awesome. Next year you can do a California roll ottoman! :P

I was TOTALLY going to try and do a set of pillows, one edamame and one roll, but couldn't find the right "rice" fabric!!!

That edamame pillow looks fantastic.

You are awesome! I wish I had your skills and creativity!

I just hope Forrest never sees this. He already gives me too much crap about my unused sewing machine. I insist on having it but I have no inspiration. I'm more of a jewelry and cookies kind of person.

I can really only sew in a straight line, so I don't have too many skills :-D

My machine sits unused 95% of the time. So he should just graciously accept a test cookie and go on ;-)
