Apparently, 11:30pm is when the rednecks across the side street from us crank up their party tunes so loud we can hear their bass in our house.

I'm all for having a good time, but you live too far away for me to hear the music in your house in my house...

I just avoided getting in a fight with a Hispanic family (while wearing my fun-time shirt, no less!) to back up my stepfather, who was infuriated at said neighbors' shooting off bottle rockets near the woods during a drought.

Whee!

Oh, yeah...these same folks apparently have an arsenal of fireworks, but it sounds like they are winding down both music and bottle rockets, thank goodness!

Sounds like my neighborhood. Not only did my neighbors shoot many guns in the air (yeah, really safe) at midnight but my Hispanic neighbors were loudly having a backyard kareoke party...even though it's 30 degrees.

OH MY GOODNESS! Yeah, I'm glad there was no karaoke going on!! But we have guns, too. Sadly, people shoot those in the air whenever.
