I suppose some of you wanna know how my weekend went, huh? Well, too bad, you're finding out anyway ;)

Went to school, was jittery the whole damn time and waiting for 10:30. Got outta school, came home, found all my clothes and started packing. Mom came home and we decided to do lunch at Pizza Ranch, YAY! After that, Em came over and picked me up (it was about 2-ish) and we were on our way. How long did it take to drive there? Something like...2 1/2 or 3 hours, I wanna say. Anywho, we missed our exit for the hotel and ended up by the track, so we--well, I geeked a little LOL. Went back to the hotel and unpacked. Oh dang....our motel was.....ick..but it was a room to sleep in and a shower to wash in. Aaaaanywho, the fun stuff! We drove back to the track to get our credentials and see if we could get inside. Well, on the way there, we're just driving around the track, minding our own business. Then Em said (really calm and collected): "Oh, hey...there's Kyle Petty....OH MY GOD! It's Kyle Petty!" So I looked to my right and there's Kyle running down the road. LOL it was pretty cool. Got to the credentials office and ended up having to call Tom cuz we were on the paid list and weren't supposed to be, but he said he'd refund the money, so I bought the pit passes, and once again, we were on our way. We sat in line for-fucking-ever. Well, we're just about to get to the security folks and I look out Em's window and go: "Hey.....is that....Reed Sorenson?" We're not absolutely sure it was him, cuz he was driving a Pontiac. Prolly wasn't him, but the guy looked JUST like him and I got a little drool on me LOL. Got up to the security folks just to find out we needed a sticker on the windshield to be able to park in the infield. So we're like: "Fuck that...let's park the car and hoof it." Which came to be a theme for the weekend. I don't even walk that much in school, but ah well. By this time, I wanna say it was 6 or so....it was starting to get dark. Anywho, we walk through the tunnel and we're going up the road and we come to a crosswalk on a road that we quickly find out leads to the Cup drivers' coaches. We're just walkin along through the crosswalk when these guys back on the sidewalk started hollering: "JUNIOR! JUNIOR!!!" So we stop in the damn crosswalk and this red car whips around us and sitting in the passenger seat is Dale fucking Junior. I can't make this shit up. We were nearly run over by Dale Jr LMAO. We're very proud of this, just so ya know ;) Oh yeah, I was geekin' on the inside, meanwhile Em's pissed cuz she didn't stick her foot out and let him run it over so she can sue him *shakes head* We continued our trip through the infield, just lookin around, breathing it all in. I'm willing to bet we looked like 3 year olds in a candy store with no adults for miles. We ended up walking down to where the Busch drivers' coaches are and talked to a very cute security guy, but damn...he wouldn't let us in, LOL. So, we were leaving him, but there was a car turning into the little lot, so we waited and we're watching and he goes by and Em's like: "Oh my God...that was Clint Bowyer..." We started walking away, but by sheer luck, Clint's coach was pretty close to the fence and he was just getting ready to go inside, so Em called his name a couple times, then asked if we could get his autograph. He came over and autographed some paper for us, and I wished him luck during the Busch race. Then as we were walking away, I mumbled to Em: "He's gonna need it, cuz Kasey's gonna kick his ass." Soooooo didn't fully believe it was gonna turn out like that though, LOL. We decided to head back to the motel then, cuz it was relatively calm there, and on the way out, we got stopped by 3 drunk guys from the other side of Iowa. Needless to say....that was interesting....and I'm sure I was about as red as my sun/windburned cheeks are right now, but Em got her damn beads ;) Theeeeeen, outta nowhere, here comes this little yellow crotch rocket speeding up the road from under the tunnel, so we're watching and BAM! It's Carl Edwards! I don't personally like the guy much, but it was still pretty cool LOL. Oh...and sorry to the Carl fans, but there was a girl on the back of his bike :( After that, we left and headed back to the motel.

Woke up at the butt crack of dawn.....well, before that actually. Showered, dressed, all that good stuff, and we were on our way to the track at a quarter after six. Yes. In the AM. Got there, called Cheryl, found out where they were parked, ended up moving the car to a couple rows behind them and tailgated most of the morning. Holy freakin crap, it was FREEZING and the ground was wet. Not sure what time we left exactly, but Em and I went up to the track to get scanners for the weekend and head on into the infield and see if we could score us some drivers before Cup qualifying LOL. We rode a shuttle bus thingy inside and ended up seeing Richard Petty while we were waiting to go through the tunnel, then we went right on into where the Busch garages were. Walked around outside the garages for a bit, then went up to the pits to watch qualifying. We didn't have hot passes though, so we couldn't go into the pits during qualifying, so we had to stay on the other side of the fence during that. First we walked up and down the pits to see all the Cup cars and take pics of them before they qualified. We were chillin around where Kasey's car was, I think, but we trailed down to look at....something...I forget what. Anywho, I look to my right and there's Kasey walking down pit road. As Em says, I turned into Stretch Armstrong, grabbed her arm and literally started dragging her back. She was very frightened at first, cuz I'm practically ripping her arm off and she's like: "What?? WHAT?!" I just turned to her and said: "Kasey....Kasey Kahne...." (like the chick in the Kasey commercial where they back into the scoring pylon thing) then she saw him. I took a couple pictures of him, but then had to just stop and bask while Em played the tourist and took more pictures LOL. We kept our eye on Tony's car, but he wasn't there for the longest time, so we just kept watching Kasey. We were standing next to a couple of girls that were probably a couple years older than us and I mentioned something about Kasey looking shy or...something. Anyway, one of the girls was like: "Oh, he got drunk on Thursday night and he definitely wasn't shy!" Damn....why couldn't I have been there for that?? Then he went out to qualify and I'm watching in front of us, cuz that's where the start/finish line was, naturally. So I wait...and wait.....and we're standing in front of one of the Nextel screens, then Em grabbed my sleeve and turned me around in time for me to see Kasey spinning out and hitting the wall. Needless to say, I was very sad and very sure that I shouldn't have been there, cuz I was obviously bad luck for him. So I spent the rest of qualifying sulking. Even when Tony came out, I was still kinda dejected...and Em was pissed cuz people kept standing right in front of us. She got a few good shots though. Who else did we see then? Uhhhh...saw Vickers, Ken Schrader, Casey Mears, Matt Borland, Ray Evernham...I'm sure there were more, but I can't think of them right now. Towards the end of qualifying, we went and walked around the garages some more and ended up seeing David Stremme. After qualifying was over, we were allowed to go into the pits, so we went to where Kasey's car was and waited for the driver intros to get over and such. So, instead of praying during the prayer, I watched Kasey and "aww"ed a little when he said amen at the end. During the anthem, I had to laugh at him, cuz he kept wiping his mouth on his sleeve like a 5 year old or something.....and I was totally stoked cuz the girlfriend was nowhere to be seen. After he got in the car, we went down to his pit for a bit and I took a picture of Ray on the pitbox and Erin Crocker was sitting next to him, but I didn't get a pic of her. Then we left to ride the shuttle back up to the entrance so we could watch the race from our seats. Em nearly creamed herself when she heard Kasey drop the f-bomb. Guess she thought he didn't have it in him with that sweet innocent face ;). I never realized how hypnotizing those races can be. I literally found myself nodding off a couple times LOL. Oh, but not during the last 10 laps or so. I lost my fingernails during the last three and chugged half a 16 oz. of Bud Light on the last lap. I was so fucking nervous for Kase it's not even funny. But holy fucking GOD it was fucking AMAZING to watch him cross the finish line in first! Then he did his burnout and spun out in the grass right in front of us! Coolest fucking thing ever. No offense, Amanda, but I had to give Biff the one finger salute during his post race interview. Em and I both did. I know, I know, he had the dominant car, but how many times has Kasey had the dominant car and shit happens? Life's tough, Biff, get a helmet.

Again with waking up early, we got ready in an hour and met Cheryl at her hotel so we'd all be parked right next to each other. We tailgated for about 4 hours again, then headed up to the track to buy some souvenirs. Em went broke at Tony's merchandise trailer. And when I say broke, I mean I loaned her $20 LOL. It was mostly for a selfish reason though. She had the money in her bank account, but she was at a cash only register and I didn't wanna have to wait for her to go to one of the others and ring all that shit up again, so I threw a 20 up on the counter LOL. I wanted to get to Kasey's and buy some junk. On the way to Kasey's, we lost Cheryl (Kurt fan) and her friend Fay (who was a Tony fan) cuz we walked right by Kurt & Kyle Busch's trailers and they were both signing autographs. I'm guessing Cheryl geeked and drooled all over Kurtsie. But I was like: "Fuck that shit" and kept on going to Kasey's. Got there and bought a t-shirt, the reverse paint scheme hat, and a cushion. *smirks* I sat on Kasey's face. *winks at Renee* We headed back to camp and I changed into my new shirt and put on my new hat and I rocked the Kasey gear hardcore. I think that was about the time my mom called to wish me a happy birthday. After that, we headed into the track and my ass did not move from that seat until after Mark Martin hit Victory Lane. I bought no alcoholic beverages :( still haven't, actually, but ah well. That race was boring cuz Kasey wasn't doing well. I mean....he was, but he wasn't. He'd gain spots, but his car wasn't good on the restarts, so he'd fall back again. It was my favorite car, though, so I'm glad I got to see it on the track live :). I felt bad for Tony, I think he was sick, cuz at one point, he came over the scanner and said that he was feeling fine if anyone was worried about him. Then Zippy told him to make sure he kept getting his fluids. My favorite scanner moment though was when they had the caution for debris in turn one. After his spotter told him the caution was out, Tony yelled: "Fucking bullshit!" Damn...it was nice LOL. Then he was pissed off after that, cuz there was something on the track after that, but they never had a caution and he said something to the effect that when there's debris on the track it's okay, but when it's on the apron, they'll drop the caution. Wasn't a big fan of this one, cuz....Roush dominance again. *shrugs* I loved the Busch race though XD

I think I got everything...and it only took an hour and 15 minutes LOL
