I am really enjoying this crossover -- it's working very well and I really like the way you've set the encounter up. I will keep an eye out for the rest of it!
Oh, I love this already. Brilliant, brilliant idea to bring these fandoms together for a cross-over. Not sure if movie-Scott would have planned to kill Dean with no questions asked but oh well, all that happened to him must have changed him.
And I so love the outsider look on Dean and Sam. The dynamics between them, their pasts. Wonderful.
And Logan and Scott as gay couple? Ngahh! Well, I felt they had more chemistry than either of them had with Jean anyway. Mwahaha!
I must not have conveyed it well in the first part, but Scott has been investigating this for a year, so presumably Scott and Charles would have asked (and answered) all the questions before Scott actually travelled to Hibbing with a plan to kill Dean.
No, Logan and Scott aren't a gay couple in this story; Ororo told Dean they were, as a joke, in the first part.
It's been interesting to write about how the relationship between Sam and Dean must look to outsiders. To me, Dean acts a lot like a parent to Sam, and I like that about his character.
Okay. Scott and Charles having investigated this for a year raises even more questions for me. Because well, why didn't Charles just read Dean's mind? I know, Cerebro is not always available but to just set out to kill somebody without making very sure they're right about him? Hmmm...
In part 1 of the story, I explain that the Cerebro has not been functional for the past year, ever since William Stryker invaded the mansion and stripped the Cerebro down for parts. Without the Cerebro, Xavier can't read Dean's thoughts. Not unless Dean places himself within a mile a two of Xavier. (In X1, Rogue runs away from the mansion, goes only a few miles away to the train station, and Xavier is unable to locate her, even at that short distance, without using the Cerebro. So clearly his powers are not far-reaching.)
I figure Sam and Dean must have a lot of stories prepared in advance for emergencies. If someone finds Dad's journal, they claim Sam's writing a horror novel. If someone finds the weapons in the trunk, they pretend they're a couple of crazy survivalists/conspiracy theorists. I too can't see them often confiding in others about their real job.
I also figured Logan with his enhanced senses ought to be able to discern that Sam's different. Glad you liked that!

It's great that Dean didn't spill the beans about the whole supernatural thing, 'cause it would have been so easy, and so out of character.
I love that Logan can scent Sam's difference. Ooooh.
Can't wait for more.
