Louisiana natives will warn you that the weather here is very unpredictable. Just a few days ago, I wanted to go swimming. It was sunny and hot and feeling like July. I had an eye appointment today. Eye exams are of the devil. They remind me of how horribly blind I am. They shoot little puffs of air into my eyeballs. They flash a tiny, bright light right into my pupils. I don't like it. Besides, I get really nervous during tests, and I feel really embarrassed that I can't read the tiniest line on the chart ( ( Read more... )

Kyrie is really starting to move around now. Yesterday she started her own version of crawling - getting up on her knees and lunging forward, and repeating until she's gotten to where she wants to go - and she's quite good at it. I'll have to see if I can get a bit of it on video. It's too cute. vvvvv - that was added by Kyrie.

It's hot. It wasn't supposed to be as hot today, but I think it's actually hotter. I think it's in the 90's. I love summery weather. I am excited about going to Spokane, but a little sad that I will have to leave the hot weather behind. It's worth it to see all my family and friends, though ( Read more... )

So today the guy came to mow our lawn. It looks great. Well, it's not very green or healthy, but he did a good job. I pulled out the inflatable pool and starting pumping it full of air. Today I managed to get the house clean before going over to Hollie's to price our garage sale items. I pretty much finished pricing everything. Now everything is in storage in her garage until Saturday. My house feels cleaner and more spacious.

It is HOT today. Somewhere in the 90's, I think.

I'm so excited about going to Spokane. 22 days!
