This week was a loooong week, so I was super excited to go home and hang out with mi familia!!! I got home (a bit unexpectedly for my parents!!!-- I forgot to tell them when I was coming home!) on Friday night. We went out to dinner and we ran into the Cornish's and Mr. Sauer! I guess the Maccaroni Grill was a happening place to be! I got the chicken marsala and it was delicious!!!
On Saturday, after sleeping on the most comfortable bed in the WORLD... my mom and I went shopping for my birthday!!! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this-- but it was verrry fun! We went to Park Meadows, the Outlet Mall in Castle Rock and TJ Maxx. We didn't really find anything at the mall but we were realllly lucky at the Outlet Mall! I finally found a pair of jeans that fit aaand I found a black pea coat!!! The last pea coat I had was STOLEN at the Ricky Martin concert I went to like 7 years ago and I am stilllll annoyed about it. So this new find makes me a little less annoyed. It is sooo cute! :) I also got lots of kitchen stuff and a necklace. Later my mom got me a yoga mat and a shoe organizer from Target-- I am so excited to use both of those things!!!! Anyway-- it was really fun hanging out with my mom for the whole day!!! :-D I love you Mom!!!
That evening I went to Heather's house (my best friend from middle school) and we carved pumpkins and I ate a lot of Halloween candy. I carved a Broncos pumpkin and she carved a Wile E. Coyote pumpkin! They were so cute! I forgot my camera when I went over there... but here is a picture of my pumpkin...
I'll be honest-- I used a stencil from the internet-- but it was still reallllllly hard! I can't wait to take a picture of it all lit up! I am going to do that as soon as I find a match or a lighter or SOMETHING with fire @ the end of it! It was really fun to see her again and carve pumpkins! :-D :-D :-D Aaaaand she gave me some birthday presents and I love them!!!!!!!!! How nice!!!
The next morning I woke up early because while I remembered the time change, my cell phone/alarm did not! Anyway-- I got ready and my dad and I headed off to the game!!! :-D We first went to the Comcast tent and ate a verrry tasty lunch! We had pork loin, buffalo wings, roast beef, potato salad, bread, salad and a brownie. Deeeelicious! Then we met a bunch of old Broncos including Reggie Rivers and Billy Thompson. Yay!!! I got their autographs!
After that we filed out and took a tour of the field while the Broncos were warming up. It was so cool to actually BE on the field!! The grass felt like it was very high quality! ;) Here are some pictures I took...
Here is a view of the field!!!
It is tricky to catch these football players on film!!!
Here is my dad and I on the field!!! Pretty cool! (If you're wondering-- the blue circles on our shirts are the things that let security know it's okay that we're down there!)
What a pal!!! ;)
After we hung out on the field, we headed up to the Comcast suite. It was verrrrrrrrrrrry nice! It has its own bathroom, a little kitchen, a buffet of verrrry tasty food-- for instance-- we had sandwiches with steak, cheese, mushrooms, peppers and onions in it-- delish, then there are a few rows of cushioned seats from which you can see the game! It also had a TV and I think internet too! It was an especially good game to sit in the suite for because it POURED like crazy and everyone got soaking wet! Everyone in the suite was really nice and friendly and it was suuuch a fun game!!!! :-D I love hanging out with my dad and watching football! :-D Here are some pictures I took from the suite...
I thought that one was pretty good! ;)
Anyway-- as you can see, it was an exxxcellent weekend!!! :-D If only I didn't have to go back to school tomorrow....
Love,
Rachel
