US culture

well, i'm back in the states,and rather jetlagged. i haven't felt fully awake since coming back. and the culture shockyness is weird. i keep seeing all these little, stereotypical american/midwestern things, and it just makes me giggle ( Read more... )

i went to costco yesterday with my mom... oh god. haha. it was so huge. i was so overwhelmed.

Rachel! I know what you mean about the accents- I hear Canadian everywhere I go, I almost burst out laughing at the customs official at the airport because she had an accent like mine.
Good for you, found a job already. I haven't even finished my resume, eek.
So when are you coming up to the great white north? Tomorrow? Awesome.

hehe, it is funny that you mention the door handles! You know what's even worse is the way you have to turn the keys to lock or unlock, it totally doesn't make sense!!
And instead of saying hello they say "how ya doing?" or things like that which I still don't know what to reply to.
Well, hope you get acustomed soon!! I am impressed you found a job so quickly!
