Last week was my last week of summer camp. I took off this week to hang out and rest up and work in my classroom a little bit. I've had a couple of dreams that it's the first day of school and I haven't been in my classroom yet. I hung out with my baby nephew Quinn this afternoon, and my skin still smells like a baby :)

A very small and adorable five year old boy:

"Do you see this scratch? [pointing to his finger] That's where a ninja came into my room when I was sleeping and cut me!"

One morning at summer camp, an annoyed 8 year old:

"Well my mom wouldn't let me bring my sledge hammer today!!"

My coworker and I cracked up and said something to the effect of "we agree wholeheartedly with your mother's decision."

My bedding has been all mismatched for awhile now, and I've been looking for new stuff, but haven't seen anything that I liked. Or if I did like it, it was over $200. Too much. Two little boys came out of the bathroom at work. One said, "Ms. Rachel, he was being gross in there!" I asked what was gross. "He said that his daddy wears a ring on his weiner!" I looked at the other kid and he said, "well he does!" oh god. I really don't want to know that much about my kids' parents.
