its natural. and us humans associate it with sadness. strangly.

one time a few years ago my cat killed a fuzzy baby rabbit and brough it up to the porch. i think i cried then too.

A couple of months ago I didnt let my dog go outside for 8 hours while I waited for Tim to get home and dispose of a dead bird. I didn't want to see her eat it. So I feel where you are coming from.

Awww, god. That's awful. I'm so sorry hon. And I can understand how you feel about Annie right now... if I were in your situation, it would take a while for me to feel affection towards that animal again, "natural instincts" though they may have been.
