Digital Camera

I need to buy a digital camera before May 17th. One that works with an iMac, and is less than like $225 max. Well, maybe it wouldn't have to work with iMac-- I guess I could hook it into my work computer.

If it takes short videos with sound, too, that would be nice, but not completely necessary.

for Scot's graduation, and just for general life use.

Best Buy would be nicer to shop at than MallWart if possible...

I have not heard of b & h photo, or calumet photo.

How many megapixels is good? That's the kind of data I just don't know.

OH Also - don't get a camera that takes regular batteries - A. they dont last long and B you will be eating up the batteries in no time and having the waste an dthe cost of batteries.

Get one that has a regchargeable battery included. I have done both and I hated the ones that used regular batteries.

Wiley bought me a Canon Powershot SD1000 for Christmas this year, and it's great. It's teeny, so it fits in my pocket, takes good pictures, is compatible with my Mac and is wicked easy to use. I think it runs between $150 and $200, depending on where you buy it.
