As a child [yes, child - like elementary] I read a lot of Poe, and thoroughly enjoyed the style and the sadness...especially the sadness...but I can't recall reading this. I think I would have...since it's me.

I used to read him too, and I discovered this poem when somebody transcribed it very nicely and gave it to me as a birthday gift. It's still one of my favorite poems :)
