Okay, so just to add to the confusion...this school that sent out the e-mail to me yesterday looks almost JUST like the IA [the bestest school in the whole wide world... - well, maybe not really, but the best in the US a few years running...] where I used to work.

either he's dense or he's hiding something, or he wants to answer them in person... or he's not really paying attention to your emails: and just in romance mode of glancing over your response and then laying on the charm at you.

I think this is how I'd handle it:
go ahead and give up on trying to get clarification via email..
and go to the interview (taking a list of the questions with you)
during the course of the interview ask the questions, and check them off as they are satisfactorily answered

if he still dances then I think it's perfectly acceptable to point out his evasiveness, (intentional or otherwise) ...if you think it's worth it to even bother at all at that point; cuz this guy could be infuritiating if you have to work with or answer to him later)

I just wish he would have volunteered some extra information...like when I'd be STARTING if this all panned out. The school opens in August - ONE MONTH away, but he didn't seem like he needed my application very soon [said mailing was fine, not to fax it]...so who
