You are allowed your choice of a democratic ballot or a republican ballot when you go to the polling place. If you want to vote for one of the Democratic candidates, there's nothing stopping you.

In fact, in November you can ask for the opposite party, again, and can switch back and forth at each election. However, they re-register you as that party when you do that. (Which is stupid in my opinion, for them to force voters to be affiliated.)

I honestly didn't know that. They've always just handed me a Republican ballot. Good to know.

Yes, just ask for the Dem ballot if you want to vote in that race. However, the republican-only races will not be on it.
