Not to sound cynical, but does Ohio still have those skanky electronic voting machines from 2004? Just wondering.

No. All of Ohio except for some places up north that still uses paper ballots got new machines in the past two years.

Actually, the word around the office is a lot of Republicans voted Democrat yesterday just to make sure Hillary won. I don't know about that. It sounds too....conspiracy theory. But it would explain how she won because, honestly, it is a shock.

But maybe it's just a shock to me.

mmm ... I dunno. While I was in line to vote, I heard a woman say to the pollster, "I'm republican but I want to vote democrat." So it's a possibility that at least a small percentage did exactly that.

I remember in the 2000 election a lot of Democrats admitted they changed registration 30 days beforehand (in states that required it) so they could vote for McCain because they thought he had the best chance to lose against Gore. Then after they voted they went and re-registered as Democrat. So I know it can happen but...

It just seems so...playground tactics to me.

Then again, it is politics.

It's the stealth voters.

And regarding the political discussions...it's one of the things I loved most about getting a degree in political science. I could have those discussions without pissing anyone off because everyone understood discussion to mean exactly that, a dialog about issues and candidates. If someone became converted during the discussion, well, that was just a bonus :)

My junior and senior years in college included the '92 Presidential election campaign, so I was in seventh heaven.

Day in the Death was odd... very odd. Came away from that with very clue what they were aiming at... other than Owen is majorly messed up.

I saw nothing but Hillary stuff. They even had a line of people standing in the walkway that goes over 315 southbound right before the Olentangy River Rd exit all day Monday (saw them in the morning, at lunch, and on my way home). I've seen more Hillary signs in my drives around, and hardly any Obama. Guess it's all where you hang out.

*raises hand* I voted Clinton. And saw quite a bit of her stuff around town, but then again, I live in the ghetto (and don't let anyone believe that Obama's getting the inner-city vote 'round these parts).

/is NAFTA-supporting freak
//already did "hope" with the first Clinton, over it
///is going to vote whoever the Dem candidate is
////has no shame
