I grieve by baking, and Erin grieves through eating, so I am making her about eight million cookies and mailing them off tomorrow.

After watching a documentary about conjoined twins and discussing possible unique difficulties with Robyn, I had become extremely aware of my limbs. It's freaking me out.

Problems with the upstairs neighbors continue. We are living in the basement of a seven bedroom house, and for a long while we didn't know if the folks upstairs knew we were down here. Yay boys! I just had a lovely visit with Wade and Jimmy. They biked over and saw the new apartment, then we went to dinner at the pub. We came back to my place and watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog because Wade had never seen it and before they left I got them to eat a bowlful of my ice cream each. I am SO excited for Convocation this year! Steven Pinker will be giving the keynote address, and I just love him. He is a cognitive evolutionary psychologist and I have read three of his books on linguistic thought, "The Language Instinct" (my favorite non-fiction book of all time), "The Stuff of Thought" and "Words and Rules". He is wonderful.

Robyn and I have discovered that my right shoulder is like and inch and a half higher than my left. It's crazy. We measured. We think that's why you can always see a little corner of my bra sticking out of my shirt on the right side (NOT because I'm secretly a slut, which was our original hypothesis). We're finally done moving! Kellen and Chris were a great help today. They were our bitches. Tomorrow Mom and Amanda come with final pieces of furniture. Until then, Robyn and I will be clearing out our living room, trying to make space for the couch and chair.
