Zoe Update

It took awhile, but Zoe has finally become a full member of the family. For about the first two and a half months she really didn't want too much to do with Michael and I, she really only cared about Sid.  We had pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that she wasn't really an affectionate dog and that she didn't want too much to do with humans ( Read more... )

Yay Zoe! She's such a cutie, and I am so impressed with you guys for sticking in there and getting her all reformed and happy. But stop making me appreciate dogs with all those cute photos! It just isn't fair.

Sorry, but don't let her cuteness fool you. She is very, very stubborn and does things on her own terms. I think the universe was trying to tell me something when after posting this glowing review of her she acted like a total shit in puppy class last night. She would not listen to me at all.

While I do get a kick out of her, I'm not sure I would appreciate her as much if we didn't already go through everything with Sid. He really has changed my ideas about dogs and myself as a dog owner. So unless you REALLY want one, I wouldn't get one. Unless it's a pug, because I think pugs can do no wrong ;-) Except shed like a motha! That's the only reason we didn't get another one after Woodrow passed.

I am so glad you have broken through to her. What a waste not to spend our lives rolling around in mutual affection and scratching each other behind the ears!

I fully agree. There's not a lot of rolling around just yet, but there are plenty of ear scratches and belly scratches and butt rubs, and that's just Michael. Oh! I kid!

Seriously it is awesome that she ended up with y'all, even after the rough patch.

Now....now you can eat her!

She's starting to realize how lucky she is. we like to drive her past the pound to remind her how bad her life was. Just kidding! But I do tell her Ah manno echoo every day just to keep her in line.
