Was mostly a bust. We had spectacularly bad timing and we were hit by rain pretty much all day every day. Since everything to do and see in C.R. is outside that made for a lot of time sitting bored in our hotel room. There were pockets of nice weather and we made the most of those times. We saw a ton of really cool fauna and flora and the country

I am deeply impressed that even with rain, you saw this many cool creatures! Wow!

Yeah and these were just the animals that we got decent pictures of. We saw 4 different types of monkey (Capuchin, Howler, Spider and Squirrel) 2-toed and 3-toed sloths. Tons and tons of colorful birds. Some sort of woodland creature on the roadways begging for food. Tons of bugs. The coolest thing is that wildlife is just everywhere. You don't have to look far to see something amazing. Keep in mind, all of these pictures are from out in the wild, nothing was captive in a zoo.

What cool critters you got to experience, even around the rain!

The jaguarundi was the coolest thing ever! He followed us on our hike for about a mile or so. He was walking with us like he was our pet. We came across a nature guide leading a group of tourists and he freaked out when he saw it. He said that they are common in C.R. but really elusive so you don't really get to see them. He was quite shocked in how close the animal was to us and how he was acting so non-chalant. That in itself made the trip totally worth it!
