Costa Rica - The Fuana part 2
Since you guys liked the critters I thought I'd post a couple more.
A Gecko was our house pet at the first condo we stayed at:
A caterpillar:
A red headed spikey iguana:
A blue and red crab:
A pelican in flight:
A colorful beetle:
Strange raccoon-type creatures that stop cars on the road to beg for food:
A Quetzal (this made all of the nature guides very excited as it is the National bird):
Lizard on a tree as seen through a telescope:
Sea slug:
Tide pool creature:
And another Iguana because I just love them!:
We saw a ton of wildlife actually out in the wild. All of these pictures were taken outside of our hotels or on nature hikes. They do have preserves for things like frogs (which we went to and it was really cool, but it kind of made me feel dirty.) but they do not have zoos. Everything is just roaming free. To see and interact with all of the wildlife that up close and personal made the entire trip totally worth it!
