Well, I'm off to court for the day, or the morning at least. The City (my employer) is being sued because we want to extend a road, but it would mean moving some Native American rock art. So, the tribes aren't happy. Hopefully the judge will rule in our favor and let us go ahead with it. After all the money is in place, and the voters have ( Read more... )

I alway wondered why they couldn't go OVER or AROUND the rocks and still achieve the same end. I'll bet that traffic on Paradise is godawful by now.

Yep! It's Paseo del Norte. And Paradise is just getting worse. I'm sure you have fond memories of it :) It would be great to go over the rocks, but the cost would be tremendous, plus the tribes don't like that either. Going around them would work because of drainage and grading issues. I'll keep you posted!

Native American rock art

We stole the land, gave them diseases they were never exposed to, allowed them to open casinos, and named countless sports franchises after them. How dare they try and preserve a few rocks. ;)
